At the very source of the Nile River, Jinja, Uganda is recognized as one of the most beautiful places on earth. The region is a popular destination for travelers due to its stunning landscapes and proximity to several major tourist attractions including Bujagali Falls and Mount Elgon.

Jinja is relatively small, making most places accessible by foot or by bicycle. Citizens face challenges ranging from poverty to climate change - GESI participants will have the exciting opportunity to work alongside Ugandan-led NGOs focusing on these and a host of development issues.
